Sand casting
The sand casting technology uses a synthetic moulding mixture or a natural moulding sand.
Moulding:
a) manual moulding shop – small-lot or piece production of flask moulded Al castings with flask dimensions of 500 x 500 x 200 mm - 2650 x 1750 x 400 mm. Pneumatic tools are used in manual moulding. Casting weight ranging from 1 - 250 kg.
b) machine moulding – made with Retopres 40, with flask dimensions of 850 x 750 x 200 mm and Rotomat 20 and 40 with flask dimensions of 500 x 500 x 200 mm. Casting weight ranging from 0,5 - 30 kg.
c) automatic moulding line – a group of 4 machines + manual workplaces with flask dimensions ranging from 400 x 300 x 200 mm to 700 x 500 x 250 mm. Casting weight ranging from 0,1 - 30 kg.
Core production
In sand casting, we use all types of cores: “CT” cores (own production), shell cores (own production) and cold box cores (in cooperation with partner companies).
Inspection of core sand – resistance to shear, venting property.
Gravity die casting
This technology is used to cast castings into permanent moulds fastened in a suitable machine. Using metal and sand cores, it is possible to pre-cast openings on the castings. Casting weight ranging from 0,1 - 30 kg.
